We've received questions from Members who want to learn more about our sustainability and sourcing practices at The Rounds. We’re committed to keeping sustainability at the core of our business, and while we continuously make improvements, we stand behind how we operate today, and are happy to share more.

To reduce our carbon emissions, we deliver to you and your neighbors on a set schedule. Grouping orders by neighborhood allows us to batch and route deliveries more efficiently—similar to how a scheduled bus route operates compared to an on-demand taxi.

To source high-quality products in the most sustainable way possible, we prioritize direct relationships with local businesses, preferred partners, and bulk suppliers. On very rare occasions when an item is out of stock, we may place an emergency order from a conventional retailer, but this is not our standard practice. As we scale, we hope to influence the sustainability of our supply chain even more.

Here’s what sourcing looks like for our assortment since the beginning of this year:

Preferred Partners & Bulk Suppliers
Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op, Blueland, ReAnimator Coffee, UNFI, etc.

59.1%
Locally-Owned Businesses
Christina Maser, Kismet Bagels, Seven Stars Farm, etc.

39.7%
Conventional Retailers
1.2%
